AARP's new spokesperson

She's been in radio & television since 1939, & she's still going I remember watching her on the Mary Tyler Moore show back in the '70s, the Golden Girls show in the 80's, & many smaller roles on various tv shows, movies & commercials since then - she even hosted Saturday Night Live last year. She's now playing in a sitcom show as one of the main characters..... at 89 years old! Amazing! If you haven't guessed already, it's Betty White.

I saw a new tv commercial for AARP, & it seems Betty White is their new spokesperson. It's a great commercial that catches your attention, & it's so Betty White. I like the commercial because it's entertaining & it's a great promotion for AARP. I've attached the website for AARP, which includes the commercial. Also, the website has some great information about AARP & what it offers for folks 50 & over - there are many articles about health, money, work & retirement, politics & society, relationships, home & garden, food, travel, entertainment, and technology. There's even a section to play computer games. There are so many member benefits I was unaware of. For instance, financial guide services, auto insurance, travel discounts to name a few.

Even though I'm not quite AARP age, I found 2 great tips in the travel section for the next time I travel on an airplane... To avoid catching the cold or flu, don't stash things in the seat pocket & Don't wash your hands after using the airplane bathroom -- use sanitizer instead
